Election Day

Finally, Election Day is here! I'm not what you would call a politically savvy woman. I do try to be as informed as I need to be on the candidates and issues of which I am voting, but I admit, most of my political knowledge comes from "The West Wing" (the TV show, not the actual area in the White House). However, I love voting! I'm incredibly grateful I live in a country where I have the freedom to do so.

I was excited to take my kids with me, although Cami told the lady volunteering at the electronic ballot who "she" was voting for. Nothing's a secret when you have a 3year old.

As an added bonus, I enjoyed a free cup of coffee from Starbucks just for voting...I love America!

What?! A free cup of coffee from Starbucks?! I KNEW I should have ventured out after voting today. DANG IT!

I learned something about voting this year. I was at my parents' helping out and took them to vote. Both have health problems right now so I went in and two judges - one from each party - came out to the car with ballots for them to vote. I was told it was a law they had to do this. Thankfully they live in a very small town and it was not an inconvenience due to long lines. Yea for the right to vote!!
